Nuro Inc., the autonomous vehicle startup founded by ex-Google engineers, has closed a $203 million Series E funding round, elevating its valuation to $6 billion. The round saw participation from both existing investors like Baillie Gifford and new backers including Nvidia and Uber. This follows an earlier $106 million tranche in April, signaling renewed confidence in the self-driving sector.
The company, which pivoted from delivery robots to licensing its Nuro Driver platform in 2024, has now raised $2.3 billion total. Strategic partnerships with ride-hailing services and commercial fleets underscore its shift toward becoming an autonomous technology provider rather than a direct operator.
